Presentation

The aim of the VALDEM project is to promote, in the France / Wallonia / Flanders cross-border area, the recycling of materials resulting from demolition or deconstruction of buildings and to inform industrial stakeholders about existing or emerging separation technologies (particularly through workshop or demonstration). In a geographical area with similar building types, the rationalization of treatment of Construction & Demolition Waste (C&DW) requires circular economy reasoning adapted to the territory in order to develop profitable treatment processes. This project will also produce homogeneous flows of materials that can integrate new applications and whose environmental interest has been verified in comparison with the current situation (e.g. landfill) via a life cycle analysis. The consortium, represented by the CTP (leader), ARMINES, Cd2e, INISMa, IMT Lille Douai, Neo-Eco, ULiege (GeMME department and PEPs department), aims to demonstrate the transferability of the results obtained to the industrial world and to create opportunities allowing it to develop new activities.

Budget: 3.557.608,84€
